On September 18, 2026, oXya and EPI-USE Labs will join the ASUG Quebec Chapter Fall Meeting at SAP Montreal for a session focused on a real-world SAP carve-out in Quebec’s mining industry.
The session will explore how a mining company separated the operations of a newly acquired mine from a shared 7+ TB SAP S/4HANA environment before its transition services deadline.
Using a selective data transformation approach, the project created a new SAP environment while reducing the system footprint by nearly 80% and preserving critical financial and operational history.
Attendees will hear key lessons from the project, including data separation, SAP landscape optimization, governance, and stakeholder coordination.
